Except for the pots and pans being old and, in some cases unusable, the accommodation and location were excellent & would definitely recommend.

The property is a lovely location and is clean and well equipped. The enclosed patio area was ideal for a dog. The picture provided is of the larger 4 person property. The smaller property is accessed from the rear. Hot tub great after a long day hiking. It is ideally priced for a 2 person stay, but bear in mind it is very small if you intend staying longer than a short stay. That said we have a large Gordon Setter. The Rising Sun in Bream is dog friendly and very hospitable, but other pubs and restaurants close by only allow dogs in beer garden-great if weather is ok. The property is ideally situated for exploring the Forest of Dean, Cotswolds, Somerset snd Wales

Cottage was of a high standard and added to our enjoyment of the holiday. Warm friendly greeting from the owner who gave us some local information was a good start. Have not visited the area before, but will have it in mind for future holiday.

Just a little bit chilly downstairs, but the owner was very helpful in providing additional blankets, and offered to turn up the heating upstairs. The property had everything we required, and the Hot Tub area was fab. Would definitely recommend and return again

Lovely cottage but far too small for a couple, a baby and a dog. We were shocked that despite a picture showing the full cottage and a description of the cottage having a living room/dining room/kitchen that it was all in fact squeezed into one very small area and our cottage was one window of the whole cottage of the photo of the cottage. The picture was deceiving as was the description, there was certainly no dining room! The sofa was very uncomfortable also. The 'bedroom' was a bed at the top of the stairs so any noise from downstairs could be easily heard as it was like one room, not practical with a 4 month old baby. Had the description been a bit more honest I would not have booked this property based on the space it had. It is perfect for a couple and a dog but certainly not suitable for a family or an infant child. On a positive note the cottage was beautifully done out and clean, the location in the Forest of Dean was perfect and if I was staying without a baby I would not have minded the lack of space. However we were very disappointed and ended up leaving a day early.

Lovely cottage, unfortunately would have liked a comfy sofa and closer to village as not much too do when the weather lets you down!

I compared the cost of the stables to the youth hostel at St Briavels in a shared room and it works out cheaper! Amazing value for money not too far from The Miners Arms in Whitecroft which is the reason we were back in the area.

A lovely cottage for 2 people and a great base for exploring the Wye Valley, Forest of Dean and also further afield into the Eastern side of the Brecon Beacons.
