This accommodation is well located and well equipped. The cleanliness wasn't quite to standard. Use of a feather duster to remove some of the long standing cobwebs and the residents within them would have made a big difference. The mildew in the shower needs some attention. The log burner had not been cleaned out and contained ash and some used napkins from previous guests. The free log allocation consisted of two pcs and a few twigs for kindling. On the positive side it was a great location an a comfortable little cottage with great walks from the door.

We were very dissapointed , we had to wash cutlery pots China and kitchen utensils as they had food stuck to them , toaster needed emptying full of crumbs , we pointed these things out to owner , dust inch thick on wardrobe pointed this out as well , no views to speak off, cobwebs thick on windows , towels rough and old looking , rug in lounge stained, we took photos as proof , we know how the standards should be as we have relatives who let out holiday homes , did not see owner after first day again .

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your feedback however we are disappointed with the low score you have given in comparison with our other and usual high scores. There was a problem with the fridge. The water collection tray was full from the freezer as previous guests had unplugged the fridge which I had not noticed but fixed this immediately. There was a crumb in the cutlery tray which you showed me. I immediately emptied the tray and cleaned the cutlery holder. The entire cutlery was clean and there was a single stained mug from tea. The toasters crumb tray had been broken and could not be removed but the cleaner had emptied it. The towels are in good condition and we have not had any previous complaints regarding them. The top of the wardrobe had been dusted and the rug had been vacuumed and checked. Any cobwebs are removed but it is a barn in the countryside and there may well be a spider that creates a web whilst there are guests residing. I am not sure what type of views you were expecting as the location can clearly be seen on our advertisement and photos. The property is in a rural location with trees and fields outside the patio door and the New Forest 15 seconds walk away. I was away for 2 days due to a family emergency but I had specifically said if you needed anything to contact me during the week. We hope you enjoyed the cakes I had provided on arrival and the milk, tea, coffee and flowers.
