Description

Walk the South West Coastal Path, and explore the many seaside towns and villages from this coastal holiday property.

Little Trevean is a small hamlet of three stone barns lovingly converted and each with their own private hot tub (refs 29436, 29437 and 29438). Adjacent to the owners’ home, they are set in a peaceful rural location overlooking gardens and fields to the sea beyond. The area is popular with walkers, as the barns are just a short walk from the South West Coastal Path leading to a number of picturesque small beaches and coves including Prussia Cove and Perranuthnoe. The properties are just a few minutes drive to the historical town of Marazion, with tea rooms, art galleries, curiosity/craft shops and St Michaels Mount rising from the sea which can be reached at low tide on foot or high tide by small boat. The beautiful, long, white sandy beach of Mounts Bay is perfect for an afternoon stroll, sun bathing, swimming or kite surfing. It is just a 20-minute drive to the beach at Sennen, which is famous for its wild ocean and surfing. Visit the quaint fishing harbour of Newlyn and the picturesque village of Mousehole, legendary Lands End or the Minack open air theatre, cut in to the rock face with the ocean as backdrop. The busy town and harbour of Penzance with its long promenade and Lido is close by, or take a day trip to the beautiful Isles of Scilly by sea from Penzance or small aircraft from Lands End Airport. A 30-minute drive away is South Cornwall, with its tranquil sailing waters and the busy port of Falmouth, which is home to the National Maritime Museum and Pendennis Castle. Visit the stunning Helford River and creeks which are popular for sailing, fishing or simply relaxing. The area has an abundance of tropical gardens to visit, including Trebah, Durgan, close to the Helford River, and Trelissike, just outside Truro. Within easy reach of the rugged North Coast, which is popular with surfers, with long beaches and sand dunes of Hayle and the pretty harbour and beaches of St Ives. Horse riding and golf nearby. Beach ¼ mile. Shop and pub ¼ mile, restaurant ½ mile. Refs 29436, 29437, 29438 and 27491 (located ¼ mile up the lane) can be booked together to accommodate up to 14 guests.

Ian and Dawn were very welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. The cottage was to a very high standard. The hot tub was the best maintained one we have used and was a great addition to the cottage after some long walks. Would not hesitate to go back.

Delightful, well equipped cottage in a lovely rural location. Wiifi very good. Hot tub is well maintained and great to relax in after a day walking or sightseeing! Owners are very friendly and give lots of useful information to make your stay even more enjoyable. Well done Dawn and Ian. An award winning pub nearby serving excellent food. Supermarkets only a short drive away. Great walks along the South West Coastal path. Minack Theatre awesome. Enjoyed every minute of our holiday and have already booked to return next year.

Fantastic holiday in a lovely location with lots of coastal walks. Accommodation was lovely with lots of mod cons and a great hot tub right outside the front door. The hosts Ian and Dawn were fantastic and made us feel very welcome. Have booked the cottage again for next year.

We had a very enjoyable week staying in The Stable. Ian and Dawn were very friendly and full of local knowledge. The cottage was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. It is an extremely warm property and with the heated towel rail on in the shower room we didn't need any other heating on at all! We visited many places during our stay as the cottage is ideally placed for sight seeing. Our itinerary included visits to - Penzance, Prussia Cove, Perranuthnoe, Praa Sands, St Ives by train from St Erth, The Minack Theatre, Land's End, Newlyn, Lizard Point, Porthleven, the Levant tin mines, St Michael's Mount and Marazion. Locally we enjoyed a very nice meal at The Falmouth Packet which is just up the road from the cottage. K C's fish and chip shop opposite the pub is good. The small convenience store at the garage just past the pub was also very useful.

We've just had a wonderful week staying at the stable. The property was really well equipped and really comfortable, a real home from home! Ian and Dawn were so helpful with advice and recommendations and we hope to visit again in the near future. Ps. The hot tub really makes the property really special!

Had a wonderful relaxing stay at The Stable cottage. The local owners were very welcoming and milk / tea / coffee was there when we arrived, plus a vase of daffodils, which was a nice touch. The cottage was fully equipped with everything we needed and was spotlessly clean. The hot tub was great, not having used one before I thought it would not be in use or be too cold to use in February. The cottage and hot tub was in a very sheltered location and we used it most days. The location was good as it was only a short walk to the s/w coastal footpath and only a short drive into Mounts Bay or Porthleven. Would definitely use the Stable again for a break in Cornwall and it was excellent value for money.

The bed was a little hard for us but a topper was immediately supplied by the owners which improved the comfort level. The Hot Tub was brilliant easing aches and pains away making you ready for another active day. The property was equipped with everything necessary for making an enjoyable break. The owners were very friendly and ready to offer advice if required The property was well situated for travel around the far west, north and south of Cornwall.

We very much enjoyed our stay. The cottage was very tidy and clean when we arrived, both ian and dawn the owners were very helpful and friendly with suggesting of places to visit/ explaining how to use the hot tub. Very good value for money! The kicten has a full size fridge/freezer which most other cottages we visited in the past don't have. And big bonus to have a private hot tub which most cottages don't have. Location was great aswell placed in the countryside away from busy roads but close enough to the supermarkets/town areas. Would definally recommemd a visit...
