This cottage is most certainly not large enough for six people. The kitchen is small and the sitting/dining room only suitable for four people at best. It was reasonably well furnished and clean and the beds comfortable. The garden was a disgrace; uncut lawns and an overgrown border full of weeds, dead plants and broken plant pots. The fact that the property is surrounded by a high brick wall and overlooked on three sides by other houses makes it a depressing place to stay. Of the five outside lights only one was functioning involving a hazardous walk from the car to the front door; not helpful for disabled guests which my wife was. The windows/doors are shabby, and in need of repair and repainting. Considering the property is owned by a company that design and build high quality "bespoke" properties, The Stable is a poor reflection on their interest in providing value for money or carrying out routine maintainance Although it is conveniently situated for Stratford and the surrounding countryside is attractive, I'm sure there are many other properties in the area which are considerably better in terms of location and price

We had a Monday to Friday break and wanted to be close to Stratford and surrounding area. This fitted the bill completely. A cosy, clean and warm cottage. Beds very comfortable and linen spotless and fresh. Plenty of room but with one regular and one large (very comfy) sofa it might be a squeeze to sit six adults in the lounge. Curtains missing from the high window which was not essential but preferable. Good size kitchen, everything electrical worked, good size fridge/freezer. Only drawback no small tea spoons (the ones they have are two big for eating an boiled egg) and neither can opener work. No wardrobes but plenty of hanging rails and chests of draws.

Fine in all respects other than tepid water for the bath

There were 6 of us staying in the cottage for a weekend break. We enjoyed our stay, great location, plenty of room, comfortable beds, two bathrooms was perfect. However the dining table was just about bit enough for 6 adults to sit around, a dishwasher preferred instead of the washer dryer. We all arrived at different times and arrival was delayed by the lack of signage on the main road. This was mentioned a number of times by previous visitors in the Visitors book.
