A fantastic barn conversion with lots of modern conveniences like full kitchen, private hot tub, and steam room. Situated next to a family farm and near to local villages. There are loads of public footpaths for nature lovers. The owners live next door. They are very helpful and friendly. Can't fault them. While not a problem for us, if you're after somewhere completely quiet, bear in mind that you'll hear dogs and chickens on the farm and traffic from the nearby A road. I'd stay again.

We had a really lovely stay at The Smithy and I'd recommend it for families, couples and girly weekends. There's plenty of pubs nearby and if you're feeling energetic, you can walk to them. The cottage is really well equipped and has extras which are the icing on the cake (steam room shower, hot tub, Xbox). Jayne was a great host and came straight to our rescue when the power cut out. The cottage has been really nicely renovated and is very comfortable. My only suggestion for improvement would be providing two towels for the hot tub and shower, or asking guests to bring a spare. I'm sure Jayne would have given us another had we asked though. Also, not essential, but some hooks/coat rack next to the hot tub and a bit more light on the patio would be lovely.. But again, these are extremely minor. Overall, I'd like to thank you for a wonderful weekend, the welcome package and the beautiful cottage in a great location.

Me and my boyfriend came here just after New Year for a two night stay. We LOVED it. The cottage was beautiful and exactly what we wanted. The hot tub and steam shower, such a bonus loved it. Jayne was a perfect host and made sure we had everything we needed. We would love to return in the future. Many Thanks, Clare.

Lovely place, a little nearer the road than I expected, but very homely. The Smithy was beautifully finished and very user friendly, with the comfiest mattress I’ve slept on. Small point-brought a few DVDs with us and easy to play on XBox, as no TV channels for little ones. We thoroughly enjoyed our time, using it as a base for visiting friends around the area. I would come and stay again, and recommend to others

We have recently returned from a wonderful 4 night break at The Smithy. We had an extremely friendly welcome and the owner Jayne was the perfect host, being on hand when needed but not intrusive at all. The cottage is very modern with furniture and fixtures of a very high quality. The steam room, with bluetooth, and the lovely hot tub and barbecue area were enjoyed each day. The area was very pituresque with lots of places to visit within a 30 minute drive. The only thing I would say is that although the description describes the cottage as rural it is actually on a main road. This wasn't a problem as you couldn't really hear the road and the courtyard area was at the back of the property but we were expecting a more rural location.
