Great place to stay, quiet peaceful and beautiful. Lovely to have fresh eggs, jam and milk waiting for us. I would definitely recommend The Smithy and would love to spend another holiday there in the future.

Everything about The Smithy put it in luxury league EXCEPT the small double bed. Though v comfy it was small and this would affect our decision to make a further booking.

    Response from: Administrator

Response on behalf of the Owner; Many thanks for your comments. The Smithy is categorised as 4 star property, not luxury, but we always aim to exceed the category standards. The double bed is a standard double bed and we will look at replacing this in the future with a King Size, as noted many have commented on how comfortable it is.

Lovely cottage. Everything you could need & more. The best equipped kitchen in any self catering cottage we have stayed in. really comfy beds. Warm, cosy & homely. Would have been all 10 scores but local pub shut so had to drive out for a drink.

    Response from: Administrator

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your feedback. We are equally disappointed the local pub has closed and are hopeful new buyers will re-open soon. In the meantime the next nearest is the Bowl which is 20-25 minutes walk and provides great local real ales.
