Former Blacksmiths forge, with all accommodation on one level and benefiting from a secluded location.

This delightful, stone built cottage enjoys a tranquil rural setting, mid way between Cockermouth and Loweswater in the Western Lakes. It sits on the banks of Sandy Beck, a haven for wildlife and birdlife, including deer, red squirrels and kingfishers. The Smithy was converted from the former Blacksmiths forge by the owners. They retained the character, with vaulted ceilings and wooden beams and complemented it with the use of high quality furnishings throughout. Lorton, Crummock Water and Buttermere are nearby, with spectacular walks on the surrounding fells. The nearest pub serving bar meals is two miles and a wealth of amenities are available in the vibrant market town of Cockermouth, four miles. The accommodation is all on ground floor, which may be helpful for people with mobility problems.

Ground Floor: Property has electric heaters and comprises:
Lounge: Open plan living space with Freeview TV, DVD and electric flame effect stove.
Kitchen: With electric oven and hob, fridge and microwave.
Bedroom 1: With double bed.
Bedroom 2: With single bed.
Shower room: With shower cubicle, WC and wash basin.

All fuel and bed linen included. Cot available. A 24 hour turn around laundry service available if necessary at additional charge.Outside: gravelled seating area with stream. Parking for 2 cars.  1 medium size dog welcome.
