This was a holiday to wind down and chill out. I was blessed with fabulous weather, glorious starry skies , an aurora, shooting stars, white tail eagles, a rabbit, one robin and much more. The cottage has a lovely view across the loch and put towards the coral beach. Its warm and toasty. If your like me, rubbish at getting a log fire going, don't worry there's alternative heating , but the log fire is lovely. The cottage is very clean, tidy and has a comfortable bed and a decent shower with plenty of equipment including binoculars . If your feeling adventurous any drive is met with stunning scenery, the Collins or the coast you chose. Petrol or supplies are around in Dunvegan not more than a few miles away. You can get to Portree the main town in 40 minutes all roads are in good condition. Some are single track so don't forget to let people pass behind you , they know the roads and are not on holiday , it is appreciated. Anthony the owner is helpful and simply a fabulous host, he made me feel welcome, ensured I had all I needed and even gave me enough parsley and greens for the two weeks! So thank you again Anthony its a lovely place. It felt welcoming, cosy and worth visiting again many thanks .

Had a great week here Came with the intention of dining out but local restaurants fully booked Suggest you book tables well in advance of your visit But evening meals enjoying Antony's vegetables was just as good. The view across the Loch changed hourly. The walk down to the lakeside is magical. Understood why there is no washing machine (Sceptic Tank) just meant a bigger suitcase. This is a peaceful place, ideal for solace and reflection, maybe not so good for exploring the island.
