We had a great holiday in The School House, it is in a perfect location for exploring all the amazing beaches in that part of Pembrokeshire. The welcome pack was a lovely extra. Having its own garden in the middle of town was also a bonus as well as the park which was only a few minutes walk away. We loved being able to walk to shops (something we can't do at home). The decor was modern and made a change from some of the bland places we've been before. It was all a very good experience, I would only make a few comments about some of the things that were missing; cafetière, 6 chairs (it sleeps 6 but there are only 4 chairs around a small table) likewise only 4 table mats. Some of the cooking utensils were not very good either. These are only small complaints and if you're planning to eat out a lot it will make no difference but if you like coffee, take your own coffee making equipment!

The set up was lovely. A real home from home feeling and the fantastic log burner played a big part after walking around Tenby and Saundersfoot in the wind and rain. The only issue we had with The School House was parking. There were road works (broadband being installed) and on returning on the Saturday afternoon, we couldn't get parked and had to drive around the back of the building. Okay if you are fit to walk back to the property up a sleep hill. Unfortunately I'm not due to back issues.

Our stay got off to a good start by the warm welcome from Cath, the owner, who showed us around School House. The complimentary wine and nibbles were much appreciated too. The School House is a great base for exploring Pembrokeshire. Apart from the days out and touring around the area the cottage was a great place to come back to for a relaxing evening in. The cottage itself is very well appointed and comfortable with everything you need for an enjoyable stay. With the local shops etc so close by and an historic castle and a railway station within easy walking distance made for a perfectly placed holiday home.

Enjoyed our stay at the School House which is a great location for exploring the area. Suited the two of us but had to decide whether to have the bedroom with low, sloping ceilings or the one with possible road noise. Living area very nicely updated and the garden was a real sun trap.

Lovely location, cottage full of character but put off by damp in shower room and hitting my head on low ceilings in top room. Also bathroom on second floor needed a shower to reduce the amount of stairs my elderly mother in law had to climb each time.
