Lovely snug cottage ideally situated in the middle of the village and so close to many beautiful villages and good walks. Beautifully furnished and so comfortable.

Good location, cottage was cosy, easy to control the heating if needed. The only drawback is the small size of the bathroom.

We had a lovely stay in this delightful cottage. The location is perfect for visiting the stunning countryside nearby and the village has plenty of amenities with lots of places to eat and shop. The only thing we found not to our like at the cottage was the hard bed,but that could be a personal preference.

Nice clean detached cottage, ideally situated in Middleton, close to hotels and bars and restaurants. It's a good base for walks and sight seeing visiting the lakes and countryside. Would definitely stay here again.

Very nice. One of the best I've stayed in. Only thing missing for us was a teapot! Thank you :-)

A pleasant and comfortable holiday cottage in an ideal location for visiting the many tourist attractions in Teesdale and beyond. The cottage was clean and well equipped and within walking distance of some good eateries, coffee shops and a local Co-operative supermarket. The shower room was a little cramped and parking was a bit of a free-for-all on the roadside but this wouldn't deter us from the possibility of booking again.

We booked the cottage for a fishing day out at grassholme reservoir plus we wanted a quiet detached place with a cottage style and a log burner . We went to the foresters for a couple of drinks was full but nice atmosphere locals were friendly nice place with added bonus of a fish shop we unfortunately never got chance to try and a handy cooperative near by only downside was parking getting a space on the road as cottage had no parking with it ,but lovely school house would go again really comfortable and clean and had everything you could want
