Welcome Cottages

A carefully curated collection of properties that offer high quality, good value accommodation in great locations across the UK, Ireland, France and Italy

This cosy cottage benefits from a peaceful courtyard to relax in after spending the day exploring the Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan.

This delightful, spacious house is in a quiet area of Mevagissey, and has all you need for a comfortable stay in this traditional fishing village. It benefits from its own peaceful courtyard garden, which is a great place to relax and enjoy a barbecue. Mevagissey has narrow lanes full of craft, gift and local shops, along with a selection of galleries for that memorable picture of your stay in this quaint seafaring village. You can watch the boats unload their catch at the working harbour, and fishing trips and sightseeing trips can be booked from the quay.
If you can bring yourself to leave the comforts of The Saltings, then pay a visit one of the country’s most beautiful gardens, The Lost Gardens of Heligan, which can be reached either on foot or by bike from the house along an off road trail. A little further afield will bring you to many beautiful beaches on the Roseland Peninsula, all of them providing the quintessential ingredients for that traditional family holiday.
The world renowned Eden Project is a must for visitors to Cornwall, and also has many concerts and events throughout the summer all worth seeing. The hamlet of Pentewan, just minutes from Mevagissey, has a large sandy beach, off road cycle trail, bike hire, kayak hire and dive centre. For a different day out, a ferry sails from Mevagissey in high season to the seafaring town of Fowey across the bay. Galleries, cafés, restaurants, bistros and tea rooms all provide refreshments. While dolphin spotting, deep sea fishing and sailing trips can all be booked from the town quay. A literary festival and royal regatta take place in the town throughout the year.

Many walks can be taken around this part of the county, from coastal rambles along disused heritage trails to inland wooded walks. Horse riding, surfing, cycling and National Trust houses and gardens are plentiful in the area. Easily reached are Truro, Padstow, Newquay, St Ives and Lostwithiel, all providing an alternative view of this dramatic and beautiful county. Beach ½ mile. Shop, pub and restaurant 100 yards.

great time would stay again no problem only downside not advasible if you have a large car as car park is tight getting in and out but you can always park in car park for a small fee and only 5 min walk
