We had a lovely stay at the cottage, owners very friendly and welcoming. Even though owners live behind, privacy is maintained unless help is needed which is very available. Loved the log burner and the whole set up inside the cottage is very cozy and restful.

The Saddlery was a perfect get-away. It is cozy, clean, and ideally located with quick access to several local attractions such as the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, Castle Chirk, and Castell Dinas Bran. It is also not too far from the larger Roman city of Chester as well as Snowdonia hikes. The owners were welcoming, friendly, and very helpful. We had a great time!

Had a lovely stay in this cottage. There were a couple of downsides, the electric (meter installed) meter was showing £42.75 when we arrived on Thursday afternoon and by Sunday morning at 9.30am the meter was showing a balance of £21.00, even though we'do payed £7.00 with our fee. We were out all day over 3 days. Before leaving we put £6.00 in meter. This could become an expensive break. Maybe an idea is for there be energy saving bulbs in all the lights, which at present are not. Also the cooker needs instructions, we put a meal in to cook, should have been 45mins but took nearly 1hour 20 mins, so may be this needs looking at. Also when we opened the oven there were greasy trays which we had to wash. But otherwise a good break. David was very helpful and very knowledgeable about the local area, he gave us some great ideas for places to visit, which we did and had a wonderful time. Will definitely visit Wales again.
