A great escape for two, with many attractions close by to explore, including the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan.

This large, single-storey apartment, annexed to the owner’s house, is in a pretty little village close to the South Cornwall Coast which has its own unique charm and mild-climate. The renowned Eden Project, the Lost Gardens of Heligan and the beautiful Caerhays Castle and gardens are all close by, as are many other gardens such as Trewithan RHS Gardens. The Rowan Tree makes a great base to explore with good connections to the North Coast and its fantastic beaches. St Austell is also nearby, where you can catch a train and tour the county without the car. The historic town of Fowey once home to Daphne Du Maurier, can be reached by ferry across the bay from Mevagissey. Truro with its theatre, cinema, restaurants and great local shops is within easy reach, as are many pretty Cornish fishing villages, such as Mevagissey, Gorran Haven and Porthpean, tucked into coves along this dramatic coastline. Sea fishing or sightseeing trips can be taken from the working harbours. With off road cycle trails, numerous golf courses and fishing lakes on the doorstep, this well-appointed holiday apartment really does provide a great escape from the busy bustle of life. A dedicated enclosed exercising field for your pet is available just a 5 minute walk away. Beach 4 miles. Shop 200 yards, pub and restaurant 300 yards.

Internal steps to entrance. All on one level: Living room/kitchen with breakfast area. Dining room. Conservatory. 1 double bedroom with French doors. Bathroom with shower over bath and toilet.

Economy 7 NSH, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Two Freeview TVs (Chromecast). DVD. Electric cooker. Microwave. Washing machine. Dishwasher. Fridge/freezer. Wi-fi. Small, lawned garden with patio, sitting-out area and furniture. Parking (2 cars). Welcome pack. No smoking.

An absolutely charming place to stay. Quiet location and perfect for exploring Cornwall. Well equipped, clean, comfy and we were made most welcome. The conservatory is a wonderful bonus.

My wife and I with our Labrador dog had a pleasant week at the Rowan Tree. The standard of the property is of a high nature and could not be faulted. Our only disappointment was the local pub would not allow dogs and so we never used it, there were plenty of other places to eat and drink a short drive away, so it was not a problem.

Absolutely fabulous location. Made to feel really welcome. Nothing is too much trouble. Conservatory was an added bonus on the rainy day we had. Ideal location for a great many attractions. I strongly recommend this stay.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The accommodation was great with off road parking, a shop and pub just a short step down the road(less than a minutes walk!) The place was clean and tidy and a good base.
