Set in the historic village of Sawley where the ruins of a Cistercian abbey remain, in the spot where the monks’ fishpond once lay, this ground floor annexe forms part of the owners’ detached house. As such it enjoys shared use of half an acre of gardens with a pond and summerhouse – ideal for lazy sunny holidays. The bustling market town of Clitheroe with its shops, pubs and restaurants is just 3 miles. On the border of Lancashire and the Yorkshire Dales, with a wealth of wonderful countryside to explore on foot direct from the door or by car. Sawley is blessed with a lovely pub serving good food. Fishing available nearby. Shop 1½ miles, pub and restaurant 100 yards.

    Lovely cottage, perfectly placed for a walking holiday. Clitheroe was a lovely place to visit with some quaint shops and the castle. There was a range of nice places to eat, all close by.

    lovely and peaceful holiday in comfortable house Owners (live in other part of the house )were very helpful yet unobtrusive Dogs very calm and unthreatening
