The Ravine is an absolutely lovely apartment and very clean and comfortable, especially the bed. The views from the apartment are even better than the picture shows. The drive is a nightmare to reverse out of but there is alternative parking just across the road, which we chose to use all week. There are stunning walks directly from the apartment. The only slight downside we found was that there was no freezer in the apartment. We did have the use of the owner`s freezer in the shared utility so it wasn`t a problem, it just would have been much better if we didn`t have to go downstairs each time we needed frozen food or ice. There was plenty of space in the apartment to have been able to put a small freezer. Obviously not a big issue and certainly wouldn`t stop us from going again and definitely recommending.

Booked for 7 days, had to leave after two days as we could not fit in the shower cubical as the door was only 13 inches wide, hence my 17 stone body would not fit in. The settees were old and not comfortable at all. There were seven light bulbs not working in the lounge !!! plus one in the toilet, making it darker than needed. The entrance to the property was very dirty with cob webs all round and dead leaves in the entrance. The drive to park your car is a nightmare, far to tight to get in and out of. Overall if you cannot walk very well, don't bother going as it is all hills. The only good thing is the sea view. The owner would not give us any refund as she says the shower is a standard one!!!

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; The apartment is always spotlessly clean, lightbulbs are changed as soon as I realise they have blown and the sofa is comfortable. The shower is a normal, standard sized one that most people have and can use comfortably, even larger people. The drive is a little difficult to reverse out of, but there's alternative parking opposite if preferred. It is rather hilly on the cliff walks around here and extremely beautiful.

Lovely, contemporary apartment with good quality fittings, sea view - great ambience on a sunny day. Very comfortable bed, constant temperature, good shower, lovely balcony, quiet and peaceful. Overall excellent - only downsides were kitchen equipment could be better, e.g. more cups/mugs, microwave dishes, oven trays, cleaning items; animal hair on settee; parking a bit awkward on drive; a bit of a drive to main roads for sightseeing, but not a problem if main priority is coastal walks.

Really nice accommodation, very clean and tidy in a lovely area. The living area was much more spacious than expected. The owner lives next door, she was very nice and showed us inside on the first night. If I was going to improve The Ravine, purely from a personal perspective I would have a voile, or light curtain on the balcony door for privacy at night time, and some nest of tables to put your cup of tea on- there is a coffee table but this is too low for me, and when sitting on the sofa not easy to access. And yes, I would definitely stay again.

The Ravine is a beautiful apartment in a truly stunning corner of Devon. Surrounded by wonderful countryside and costal walks, The Ravine is a perfect home-from-home. Be it a family holiday or as an alternative to the working away "corporate hotel" - The Ravine will not leave you disappointed.

Fantastic stay at The Ravine - everything we needed in the apartment, very warm and comfortable and stunning view of the sea. Difficult not to spend all day sitting and enjoying it - but coastal walks on doorstep and lovely pub a few minutes walk away were tempting enough to draw us out. Also, despite seeming a million miles from the city, very convenient for nipping into Plymouth.
