The village of Brundall is the centre for boat building and boat hire, and has its own railway station, shop/post office, mini-market, hairdresser, Chinese takeaway, fish and chip shop, two local pubs serving good food and regular bus transport links. Fishing is also available locally.
The lively, seaside resort of Great Yarmouth is 14 miles, with its fun fair, promenade, amusements, model village, shops, market square, cafes and restaurants, and is easily accessible by car or train. Also within easy reach are the surrounding seaside towns and villages of Gorleston-on-Sea, Hemsby, Caister-on-Sea, Winterton-on-Sea, California, Newport and Hopton-on-Sea. The city of Norwich is 8 miles away, with its excellent shopping, theatre, restaurants, pubs, cafes and castle museum. Thrigby Hall Wildlife Gardens is worth a visit, with its renowned collection of mammals, birds and reptiles. Close by, the village of Strumpshaw has a steam museum, and Reedham offers Pettitts Animal Adventure Park. Whatever type of holiday you are after, it can be as active or as laid back as you want it to be, and you are sure to be pleased with a holiday at The Ramblers. Beach 15 miles.
