It was a beautiful location but a few snags especially about keys and some of the equipment.

The cottage was situated in a great location, yards from the beach and local amenities also within easy access to the centre of Edinburgh. The property was surprisingly spacious, from the outside it looked quite small, but once inside it was more than adequate for our needs. The pictures on the website do not do it justice! we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Lovely cosy house in a great location. Kids had a great time on the beach and cycling along the prom. Lots of good places to eat nearby. A welcome pack with the basics would have been appreciated for the amount paid. Would definately recommend and hope to return.

How we loved this place! So much so that we googled neighbouring properties and spent many pleasant hours imagining the décor that we'd impose on it if it was ours! It was a fantasy though; the whole point about this place is that there's nowhere else quite like it. The ground floor is better than than the attic (and it's not lovely at all from the back of the house), but the stretch of front garden frames the door to the beach and it was magical to wake up in the morning and watch the sunlight flickering on the waves. When we went out we found a great pub, cafés and local shops: it was fun, busy and full of happy people. We'd originally intended to use the house as a base for getting to shows at the Fringe (there are frequent bus services but be warned they pay little heed to timetables) but as it turned out we enjoyed coming 'home' again as much as we enjoyed going out. Thoroughly recommended to everyone, along with the extremely minor practicalities of a picnic rug so that you can sit out in the garden if the weather's kind, some over-the-door hooks so that you can hang up wet coats in the utility room, your own teapot that doesn't splash everywhere and a small rotary airer for drying socks and things if it's raining outside. Please go, and enjoy it as much as we did!
