We had a very pleasant stay at The Plough Shed. Would have like to seen a chair in the bedroom to put ones clothes on and a chair or stool in the bathroom. Also a safety non slip mat would have been appreciated when standing in the shower and stepping out of the shower onto tiled flooring.

Such a lovely cottage, very spacious and comfortable. In a rural location, but within easy reach of Chichester and lots of other beautiful coastal villages. The owners were very welcoming and we wouldn't hesitate to return. and highly recommend this property.

Property was very good - Chichester was a bit far as the property was marketed as Chichester Petersfield was nearer. Otherwise a very good stay .

My partner and I stayed in the Plough Shed with our 10 month old son in June. We had an absolutely fantastic time. Mr Bray was a lovely host, very friendly and welcoming and we knew where he was if we needed anything (but we didn't as the cottage is very well equipped!) The cottage itself was beautiful, inside and out. Our little boy loved it too, especially the chickens which we went to see every morning. The area itself is beautiful, lots of places to walk (although we didn't do much walking because of having a pram!). The nearest pub served delicious food and the village itself is very pretty. We did not want to come home and we hope to visit again soon in the future. I have also recommended it to my mum so hopefully she will visit too. Thank you very much for a lovely vacation, we loved it and we was sad to go home.

An outstanding cottage in a very peaceful location. The owners are very friendly. The cottage is well furnished to a high standard and very roomy. There is a very good shop in the village selling excellent bread. For evening meals try the Red Lion at Chalton for good reasonbly priced food.

Good firm bed, spacious bathroom, shower was fine, kitchen slightly bijou, water always piping hot - be careful. Excellent location to base a walking holiday. Good local shop a few hundred yards down the road. Rob, the owner, very pleasant, respected our privacy. Decent washing machine.

We stayed at the Plough Shed with our 14 month old daughter. The accommodation was family friendly, a high chair was provided, and we opted to take our own travel cot but the owners would provide one. There was a fire guard installed and we enjoyed using the log burner. The cottage was well equipped for self catering, it was warm and cosy, and deceptively large. Plenty of space in the bedroom for the travel cot and the living room was a very good size. The cottage is really close to a well stocked village shop and tea room in a beautiful location. It says on the website that there is a pond, this is situated behind the property and is fenced, so don't let that put you off booking for safety reasons. We would definitely return. It was a friends wedding that took us to the area, and we are pleased that gave us the excuse to visit. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Thanks to them for a great stay.

Cosy, clean, tidy, comfortable, and with everything needed for a convenient stay. Lovely quiet location, handy for the South Downs Way. Historic Uppark Estate just down the road. Owner helpful and friendly without being intrusive. Well-stocked local shop at the bottom of the road. Ideal for our three-day break!

Cottage was quite cold as there was a cold wind through the property, not very well insulated. Carpets were not very clean and we even found a dirty diaper under the coffee table. Location was nice and tea shop next door was lovely.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your comments. We were surprised to hear that you thought the carpets at the property were unclean and that you found a dirty diaper under the coffee table, the carpets at the property were brand new and the last two parties at the property prior to yourselves did not have children with them. We have also recently re-insulated the property and we did show you how to override the night storage heaters to provide extra heat if required, our guests routinely comment on how warm and cosy they find the property.

This is a charming cottage in a wonderful setting with fantastic owners, nothing is too much trouble. We travelled from Germany to stay here and loved every moment.
