Peacefully situated within the extensive grounds of the Pitchford Estate, these three properties offer superb holiday accommodation. Windy Mundy Farm (RNG) has been converted from an 18th-century threshing barn and deer shelter and is located on an old deer park at the centre of the estate. Built on top of a south-facing hill overlooking Row Brook, and part of a working arable farm, it is surrounded by fields of wheat and barley and has spectacular, far-reaching views towards the Shropshire hills. Enclosed by a long stone wall, the farm has its own courtyard garden with a terrace and barbecue. Stockbatch Granary (RJ6) is reached by a mile-long drive passing through the mixed arable land of Stockbatch Farm, with its fields of corn encircled by woodland. It comprises an 18th-century granary, clapperboard barn, stables and cowsheds, and nestles on a south-facing slope, at the bottom of which a stream wends its way gently along. A courtyard garden enclosed by a red sandstone wall provides a pleasant sitting-out area from which to survey the countryside views. Tree House Barn (RDDJ) is a sensitively restored detached barn conversion which enjoys views of the world famous Pitchford Tree House (the oldest tree house in the world).
Within 6 miles of each property is historic Shrewsbury with its fascinating architecture, castle, museums, fine shops and wealth of traditional inns and restaurants. Easily accessible is popular Church Stretton, and Shropshire’s finest town Ludlow, framed by the gentle Clee Hills, with its impressive castle, magnificent church, many half-timbered buildings and Georgian red-brick houses. Bridgnorth has what is reputed to be the steepest cliff railway in Britain and superb cliff-top walks overlooking the River Severn below. From here, during summer, the Severn Valley Railway’s steam train chugs the scenic 16-mile route to Kidderminster. Attingham Park (NT), Benthall Hall (NT), Ironbridge Gorge and the old market town of Much Wenlock (with its medieval priory) are all within easy driving distance. Riding, sailing, fishing, golf, pubs and restaurants locally. Shop 2 miles, pub 6 miles.

    Beautiful location, lovely big house, peaceful and the added touch of all the rooms having there on ensuite was lovely. Nice and clean throughout, two fridge freezers for all our stuff, and a nice big cooker made it just right for a big group like ours. Directions for getting there were ok, but missed the end bit where there's quite a long lead in to the actual property, this led us to think we were in the wrong place. Would definitely stay again.

    Party of 12 adults, 2 children and a baby. Excellent accommodation with every facility we needed. Kitchen was perfectly equipped and lovely big living area where we could relax. Games room kept big boys and children occupied where lighting could be improved. Beautiful views from garden area. Bedrooms were fine apart from a couple of creaky beds which were not the most comfortable. Even the weather obliged! Would confidently book again for a similar sized group.

    A lovely place to stay. Great location. Clean and well presented. Only downside for us was the grass had not been cut and so the children couldn't play. Also the BBQ is not adequate for a house holding up to 14 people- minor but as we were staying in the summer it made a difference! However, there were lots of positives and we would definitely stay again!

    Fantastic house! Really spacious, every bedroom is nice so no one feels hard done by. Fantastic huge dining room, living room and games room. Well stocked with kitchenware and baby equipment. Ideal holiday house.

    we had an awesome weekend at the granary; it was perfect for us (13 guys having a stag party). loads of equipment in the kitchen, massive lounge, lots of space. we set up decks & club lights in the lounge, dressed up like idiots & cooked a massive meat fest & had a brilliant party.

    I was in love before I had even arrived! The drive to get to the property was amazing; just rolling hills, country roads and plenty of horses. The house was stunning, I couldn't fault it, the kitchen was suitable to accommodate far more than the 11 of us. We had no issues with the oven or grill at any point. The games room proved to be most entertaining for some of the party who spent quite a lot of time playing table tennis! We went for my 30th birthday and I couldn't have wished for a better venue - the whole party had an incredible time. The rooms were all lovely, mine especially with the roll-top bath in the room. Just make sure you take everything you need and you will not have to, neither will you want to, leave the property for anything. We went on a brilliant walk, with the dogs where we all got extremely muddy and wet but this just added to the magic of the stay. I cannot recommend Stockbatch Granary any higher and I would love to go back.
