Description

Set in Burnham where an unspoilt 7 mile stretch of beach provides hours of fun, and many other coastal resorts of the north west are close by.

This spacious, detached, single-storey holiday cottage is ideally located just minutes from Burnham-on-Sea, and the coastal resorts of north west Somerset. The seven-mile stretch of sandy beach running from Burnham to Brean is known for its unspoilt dunes and is ideal for walking and bird watching. There are several golf courses including a fine championship course at Berrow Links. You can also marvel at the spectacular scenery of nearby Cheddar Gorge with its soaring cliffs, famous caves and the quiet beauty of the Quantock, Mendip and Polden Hills. Between the hills are the Somerset Levels and Moors with their quiet wetlands famous for willows and unspoilt meadows. The Levels offer fantastic opportunities for cycling, angling and horse riding. To the north of Burnham is the bustling seaside town of Weston-super-Mare, which is well worth a visit. Bridgwater, a small busy town, is also close by. Its many examples of fine Georgian architecture reflect its prosperous past. Why not combine a shopping trip with a visit to the Blake Museum or the Somerset Brick and Tile Museum? Shop, pub and restaurant 0.25 miles. A bright & airey cottage, very clean and well equipped. Owners very helpful and could be contacted anytime if necessary Location is good for all surrounding activities and a nice secure garden if you have a dog. We will definitely stay again as we have relatives in Bridgewater.

Owner was helpful and told us where we could park and walk dog on beach. We booked for a week but came home after 4 nights. The piggery was spotless but the sofas were not as the picture and was a 2 seater leather sofa and one wooden chair so was hard to relax in the evening. The piggery is within 10 steps of a childrens nursery and the cars drive in on one side of the building and round you to drive out. There was no where to walk the dog direct from the property and the motorway noise was really loud. Shame the property so me where else would be lovely.
