The Paddock was very clean, very well equipped, cosy and warm even though we ended up being there in snowy weather. The owners were lovely and made us feel very welcome to stay in their beautiful cottage. The cottage is situated a very short car journey from some of the most beautiful beaches you could wish for.

Me and family arrived at "The Paddock" after a last minute decision to spend new years in Cornwall. When we arrived at the property we were welcomed by the owners who are a lovely couple and couldn't do enough to help us settle in for our stay. The location is set enough out of the way to be nice and quiet whilst only being a couple of minutes drive away the nearest shops and pubs and only 10 minutes from Penzance and St Ives where we spent most of our time. We were told that the we were the 1st guests to stay after the refurbishment and all I can say is that it has been finished to a very nice standard. The beds are very comfy and the en-suit was extremely convenient and clean. Many Thanks to the owners for making our stay so easy and accomadting us on such short notice ( 1day). Highly recommended Thanks again.

The luxury description should be removed. The need to put money in the two meters should have sent alarm bells for penny pinching. The cooker is what you might expect in a 20 year old bedsit. Solid electric extremely slow and no markings at all having been cleaned off a long time ago. The electric shower apart from being filthy squeals when used. (Kettling). All of the kitchen cupboards are worn to excess having the grain pattern worn off. Small bathroom sink white plastic with a blob of chrome left. The iron is disgusting. On first look on the outside the cottage looks great. Good garden and good position. Inside is a different story. At home we have a king size bed. A rain shower with underfloor heating. That is luxury!

We enjoyed our stay, not far from most places. The shower was small, alright for most women but tight for men. Also didn't like having to put money in a meter for the electricity, meant having to keep looking to see if you needed more pound coins. We stay in cottages during the winter months and have never had to have a meter before.
