Lovely place stayed twice now, ideal for us as we come to the area for Alton Towers, great location. A little noisy with local traffic although not on a main road seems a lot of traffic given location. No mobile phone signal

The cottage is on s race track to j.c.b. factory even when the road was flooded with two foot of water they still came through at 70 mile per hour. The front door was hard to lock so had to leave it unlocked through the day. The hot water tap in the kitchen was dripping constantly must have been like this when last checked, on the last night there was no hot water or heating when we rang the owner re this he said he knew about these and possibly why the heating had gone off on the last night but otherwise he said had we enjoyed our holiday !! Also I know its a bonus to have a welcome tray however we have never been to a cottage without one or no information about the local area i.e. doctors etc restaurants and local shops .

Lovely little place to stay, only fault was it isn't very easy to find in the dark. Could do with a light outside to light up the front of the property.

The Olde Chapel needs a fair amount of TLC and modernisation to bring it up to expected quality. Unfortunately for us it was clear the cottage had not been cleaned properly before we arrived and had a distinctly musty smell (as well as cobwebs). No washing machine (admittedly not mentioned) was a problem and with mobile phone signal being practically non-existent having no phone line was an issue that needs addressing. The big chapel doors look great but felt a tad insecure, with the lock taking some effort to turn from the inside. Overall it was very basic, and felt very cramped upstairs in the tiny second bedroom and bathroom, with the master bedroom being over-sized in comparison.

chapel was clean and tidy and overall good place. few items to note: Head room upstairs is tight. tall people may have issued using the toilet or having a shower! Heating upstairs is mad hot even when down low, but downstairs is fairly cool - and the fire doesnt do heat, so its hard to make rather warm. There is zero mobile signal/mobile internet and no Wifi - so looking up places to go, finding shops (its a 10 min drive to the closest one) is hard work - do all your research ahead of time.
