Big house, with plenty of room for family/friends get-together. On site parking - we had 5 cars - note that path to house is up a slight slope and is uneven underfoot. Within walking distance (for fit adults) to local Post Office/shop and pub (interesting food) - take a torch for dark nights as street-lights sporadic. Minor niggles of equipment not working (owner notified), but nothing that could have spoilt a holiday. Located within easy driving distance of good walking country and magnificent landscapes of hills/coastal estuaries - no need to venture as far as the Lake District!

We had a great time but the grill and both ovens barely worked causing us to be let down when try to self cater on occasions. We were having a celebration of a 60th birthday/retirement and catering at times for 15 people and the chest freezer didn't work too good. It could do with a bigger freezer and fridge for large parties of 13 people staying there. It is in need of refurbishment and new white goods.

Lindale does not have much to offer, but only 10 mins from Granege over Sands. Very nice holiday accommodation and well equipped for 10 people.

Fantastic cottage in a lovely part of the Lake District. The owners were great - very helpful. We loved our stay and would definitely go back. The only tiny problem was that we couldn't get the heating work, even after contacting the owner several times we still couldn't manage it. Definitely didn't spoil our stay though. The property is beautiful.

The Old Vicarage is a spacious and comfortable, old property in a charming situation on the edge of the Lake District National Park. Lindale has a pub but otherwise limited amenities. The property is generally comfortable (except the instructions for the heating are not very clear) and is well equipped (although non-stick saucepans would be nice!) Certainly a great place for a family gathering or a house party - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

What a fantastic house, in a fantastic little village (complete with lovely local pub and fantastic children's playground). The house was absolutely perfect for us - three families with 5 children aged 3 to 6. The house offers so much space, and the rooms were well equipped, and lovely comfy beds. The location was perfect with so much to do close by - Fell Foot Park, the Lakeside Motor Museum, Aquarium and Steam Railway all just 10 minutes away, and Bowness, Windermere, Sizergh Castle, Ambleside and Wray Castle all within half an hour. We had a wonderful week and would definitely book the house for another holiday in the future.

A beautiful old house with loads of space for 8 adults and two under fives. We had some issues with the heating, which wasn't coming on with the timer, and had to be turned on manually. The mattresses in the twin and bunk bed rooms were very bad, and the mattress toppers provided were not adequate to deal with this. We had a lovely stay and enjoyed the area.
