We had a lovely stay. One or two points to mention are that the water system needs a bit of help as we ran out of hot water, the cooker door needs repairing and it would be useful if there were a few more mugs/cups. Apart from that, the beds were very comfortable and everyone enjoyed their stay.

This was the fourth time we have stayed at this lovely old house, the last time being nine years ago, unfortunately some things have not been updated since. This did not stop us from having a great week.

Great property. Will definitely book again if an opportunity arises. Only downside is the showers - all just a dribble!

A thoroughly enjoyable weekend. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you could need; plenty of mugs, glasses, plates and cutlery as well as serving dishes, pans and baking sheets. The lounge was lovely and the rooms were good sizes. The only issue was the bed in the single room which was a touch uncomfortable as you could feel the springs in it. Could do with a house name sign on the gate, the Asda shopping delivery people could not find the house and the only name sign is hidden by the front door. Would recommend the house to others.

Well equipped, large house with plenty of parking. The owner couldn't have been nicer and provided everything we needed. Yes the total is expensive - but not per person when you fill the house. Would we go again? - you bet we would - if we can ever get the family to agree on a date.

Great large property loads of rooms and bedrooms and a well equipped kitchen. Games room great for kids, you need to take a spirit level for the pool table through. Only concern was it was advertised as a secure garden - we had two small dogs and it was not secure, they could get out under the gate and a few gpas in the fence. We had to fashion a few things, but apart from that would recommend it.

My family of 8 adults and 3 children (3 generations) stayed here for 2 significant birthday celebrations and thoroughly enjoyed our first foray into the Lake district. The cottage was close enough to visit several beautiful locations (Ambleside, Cartmel, Bowness, Fell Foot Park, Grizedale Forest) and is huge enough for everyone to have plenty space when needed. It has character and charm and the owner was helpful and friendly. We will definitely be back again and highly recommend to anyone.

Plenty of space for our party of 10 - 6 adults & 4 children from 2 to 13. Games room a hit with boys. Tastefully decorated throughout. Had a problem with water from kettle - tasted horrible. It was a pity that the garden was not maintained better, lots of weeds in flower beds & long grass. It would be good to leave written instructions for boiler operation. Overall, we had a thoroughly enjoyable time. Thank you
