This was our second visit and we enjoyed our stay as much as the last time. The cottage is in a beautiful situation overlooking the loch and close to lovely area's for walking. It has been lovingly restored by the owner to a high specification . There are various local restaurants to suit all tastes and the coffee shop and art gallery across the road are well worth a visit.

We have never stayed in a one bedroomed cottage before. Therefore, when we first opened the door, we both thought 'mmm its small', however, once we were settled in we loved it. The Old Ticket Office had everything we needed. It was a perfect base for us to go touring around the area and beyond. The washing machine urgently needs either replacing or repairing...we couldn't hear the tv for the noise it made. And finally a niggle ...the bed is a bit hard. Agnes has done a brilliant job of the restoration.

This is our seventh stay at The Old Ticket Office it's always been a bolt hole for us to get away from hustle, bustle and noise, and enjoy the peace quiet and tranquillity that Blairmore has to offer. The only down side to our stay this time were the coaches dropping off the passengers for the boat tours. Having two or three coaches parking and turning outside was a bit noisy and definitely not what we have been used to. Other than that we had another amazing week there.

What a beautiful place, and one of our best holidays in the UK. I marked an 8 for comfort rather than 10 because the bed was not as large as we'd expected. However, there wouldn't be room to fit a larger bed. That aside, we absolutely loved it. It is definitely a must if you want a relaxing holiday, and to be at one with nature again. The Old Ticket Office is a little gem in a beautiful location. We would love to return

This is our third visit - so I guess we must like it! The owner is very hospitable and helpful. The property is literally right on the shores of Loch Long and it is fascinating just watching the wildlife and vessels on the loch. There are plenty of places of interest to visit and lots of good walks and several places to eat. The nearby town of Dunoon has everything one would want on holiday in terms of shops, carry-outs etc. Highly recommended.

Perfect for two, cosy - the underfloor heating was a luxury. Stunning view across the Loch A lovely Christmassy welcome. We spent a lovely Hogmanay, peaceful and quiet. Good walking, although we kept fairly low because of the floods and storms. Enjoyed our visit to Benmore Botanical Gardens and the walk through 'Pucks Glen is a must. Will most likely go back, maybe for the Highland Games, We had a warm welcome for the parishioners of Kilmun Church and morning coffee. Well done Mrs Harvey.

Great place for two to stay. Garden not secure for dogs. Would be simple to fence off better to keep dogs off the road. Very entertaining being next to the pier, with people fishing, Sammy the seal, seabirds, submarines, and the Waverley visiting as per timetable. Loads of great walks nearby, plus fab views over the loch. For good food etc shop, return to main road, turn left towards Dunoon, then stop at garage with shop on the left. The Benmore Botanical Gardens is a great place to visit and eat. Dunoon museum interesting too.
