Welcome Cottages

A carefully curated collection of properties that offer high quality, good value accommodation in great locations across the UK, Ireland, France and Italy

Perfectly suited to families wanting to explore this wonderful area, with a games room to keep the kids entertained.

This charming, semi-detached holiday cottage has been converted from a 250-year-old stable block and is set in 200 acres of grass farmland, adjacent to the owner’s home. Only 9 miles north west of Newcastle, and only ½ mile from the centre of Ponteland, with plenty of restaurants, pubs and shops. A great location from which to explore the many visitor attractions throughout Northumberland, Durham and the Borders. The detached games room with table tennis, snooker/pool table and the outdoor tennis court (April-Oct) will keep the children amused (shared with another cottage). With views from the farm over towards the Cheviot Hills and a large shared enclosed garden, visitors of all ages will enjoy the property and location. You may be lucky and see a red squirrel around the garden. A half an hour drive takes you to the coast where you can follow the Heritage coastline (AONB) heading North for great fun days out. Visit Alwnick, the ducal town with the famous castle used in the Harry Potter movies, and the enchanting Duchess gardens. Hadrians Wall and Corbridge are only half an hour away. Beach 15 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile.

Ground floor: Living room with double sofa bed. First floor: Second living/dining room with beams. Kitchen with beams and breakfast bar. 2 bedrooms: 1 double, 1 twin. Bathroom with bath, shower cubicle and toilet.

Oil central heating, electricity and bed linen included. Towel hire. Travel cot. High chair. Two Freeview TVs (one 30"). DVD. CD. Electric cooker. Combi microwave/oven/grill. Washer/dryer. Wi-fi.
