Generally speaking the cottage was lovely, except for the one cupboard which hadn't been checked by the cleaning staff and in which utensils with mould could be found. Also the system of waste separation was't entirely clear.

We loved our week at The Old Tack Room, during which we were blessed with really good weather. We were very impressed with the cottage which met the requirements of our family group, complete with 2 toddlers. The cottage was very comfortable, well equipped and tastefully furnished. The sunny garden was perfect for the toddlers to play and ideal for the dog.

Cottage was very well equipped and really good location. The house did smell of dogs though, we had to buy air freshener and scented candles. Also the grass in the garden was really long and ther was dog poo in the garden. The shower door in the main bathroom fell off whilst the children were in the bath and there were insufficient working plug sockets In the bedrooms. Also there weren't enough bags for the recycling system at the house. Once these issues were sorted it was lovely. Sufficient parking but it was quite narrow to get to the house. We had a freelander and we managed to fit it in but it was a tight squeeze. Would recommend this cottage as long as maintenance is kept on top of!

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; We are really happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay at The Old Tack Room. As Owners it is of the utmost importance that our guests have an enjoyable and problem free stay. We apologise again for the problem you encountered with the shower screen, which our managers attended to the same day and fixed immediately. Unfortunately we did not learn about the other issues until this review, so were unable to take action at the time, as our managers would have also attended to these issues promptly. We take great pride in the cleanliness and standards of maintenance at the cottage and are sorry that you encountered problems during your stay. However we are very glad that, overall, you would recommend The Old Tack Room to others.
