Cottage was very well equipped and really good location. The house did smell of dogs though, we had to buy air freshener and scented candles. Also the grass in the garden was really long and ther was dog poo in the garden. The shower door in the main bathroom fell off whilst the children were in the bath and there were insufficient working plug sockets In the bedrooms. Also there weren't enough bags for the recycling system at the house. Once these issues were sorted it was lovely. Sufficient parking but it was quite narrow to get to the house. We had a freelander and we managed to fit it in but it was a tight squeeze. Would recommend this cottage as long as maintenance is kept on top of!

    Response from: Administrator

Response on behalf of the Owner; We are really happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay at The Old Tack Room. As Owners it is of the utmost importance that our guests have an enjoyable and problem free stay. We apologise again for the problem you encountered with the shower screen, which our managers attended to the same day and fixed immediately. Unfortunately we did not learn about the other issues until this review, so were unable to take action at the time, as our managers would have also attended to these issues promptly. We take great pride in the cleanliness and standards of maintenance at the cottage and are sorry that you encountered problems during your stay. However we are very glad that, overall, you would recommend The Old Tack Room to others.

A wonderful place to stay. Really impressed with the lovely comfortable & well appointed cottage. Lovely decorations & really cosy. Just 2 minor comments would be that every time toaster was put on it blew the fuses to the kitchen & was a pain to have to re-set the oven 4 times during our stay. Also the instructions regarding putting out rubbish/recycling were wrong (it stated that rubbish should be put out Thurs night for collection Friday morning but we were told by Neighbours that the collection is on a Thursday morning). All in all though we were extremely happy with the property & would definitely stay again which we hope to do next year!

A good time was had by all, the house itself perfect, just the access that was troublesome (very narrow tracks).

We loved this cottage and would return again. Fully equipped, clean, tidy & homely. The Parking was difficult as the neighbours were having building work done so blocked the front vehicular access.

An amazing holiday enjoyed by Mature adults, mid thirties, children and two dogs. Everything so well thought of. Recommended if you have dogs as there is a separate door to dog room if dogs are dirty, with hose outside, dog door and the inside door is a stable door so the can still see you while drying off. Decor was delightfully, bed comfy and garden just wonderful. Location was just right for us. Overall it was just an amazing cottage in an amazing county. Highly recommend Charlestown, Polperro, Looe, Mevagissey. The Lost Gardens of Heligan was great and even better as dogs are allowed. Definitely will stay again, unfortunately not next May as booked up and can only go then. :(. Xxxx
