This detached property offers fantastic views over Kentallen Bay and an ideal base for exploring the Southern Highlands.

Overlooking Kentallen Bay and just beside the Oban/Fort William road. The Old Store is a beautifully built stone house (c1840) and is located on the Ballachulish cycle track. There is a large landscaped garden with patio areas just yards from the sea. There is fishing on a pier across the road which is ideal for sea fishing. Kentallen is central for touring the Southern Highlands, Skye, Mull, Inverary or the many boat trips which leave Oban daily. Skiing is available in Glencoe and Fort William. 9-hole golf course and cycle route nearby. Shop and pub 1½ miles, restaurant ½ mile.

    This was our second visit to The Old Store and we have already booked for next year. As far as we are concerned, it is the perfect holiday home. It is in our ideal location, is a beautiful property and is exceptionally well equipped. The layout of the house makes it perfect for us - the ground floor bedroom means that a couple can stay downstairs, totally cut off from any noise from upstairs, where we are with generally quite young foster children. It is an exceptionally spacious property with plenty of room for everyone. This year we had our Newfoundland dog with us and the huge enclosed garden is also perfect. As long as you don't mind a fairly steep climb there is access through the back, up onto the cycle track, perfect for dog walks and glorious views. This year, being October, although we were blessed with fantastic weather, we didn't get the amazing sunsets from the conservatory which we had enjoyed in May last year. But that isn't a criticism! Loved it - can't praise it enough! Many thanks to the owners for sharing what is very much a home from home.
