In a peaceful setting, with scenic walks from the door, this charming, detached, 17th-century, character holiday cottage is conveniently located within the quaint village of Shorwell, only a 2-minute walk from the historic 14th century church, shop and pub. On two levels, the lawned garden is accessed by steep steps or a sloping path, which surrounds the garden for access, and has a table and bench seating for dining al fresco. We loved staying at The Old Stable. It is a large cottage with plenty of space for everyone. We didn't notice the bees whatsoever and the area was gorgeous and really quiet. Local pub was fab and lots of beautiful local walks. Easy to get anywhere from cottage location all essentials in the cottage were provided. A little dusty, a few cobwebs and a couple of big spiders in the bath greeted us but it kind of added to the character of the cottage. A typical country cottage with lots of character and been looked after.
