on the whole a very nice place to stay. only criticism was that the grass hadn't been cut for quite some time and the garden furniture needed replacing. as we were lucky with the weather, it would have been nice to sit in the garden, but this wasn't possible.

Comfortable , clean and "cosy" cottage - owners particularly helpful and friendly.

The cottage was very modern and had all the equipment we needed including a bbq in the garden. The playground was great for our 2year old son as was the fenced off / secure private garden. The owner Louise made us feel very welcome upon arrival as did Mo the dog. The tractor runs during the day really added to the "rural escape" we were looking for - thoroughly enjoyed by our son. The only MINOR point to improve the stay was on the level of dusting inside the cottage (that said it took next to no time to use the hoover and clean up - I'm personally a stickler for dust balls and small crumbs on the floor). The kitchen was very well equipped, the bedroom comfortable and bathroom clean. The children's cot was easy to assemble and disassemble and clean. The owner did tell us to bring our own mattress for it but this wasn't necessary in the end as there was a foldable inside the unit. The cottage is very well located for Camber Sands and Winchelsea beaches and also Tenterden railway. Grocery shops and cafes all very accessible in Rye and the nearby Plough pub is a must as is The Ship in Winchelsea! Delicious food and great service. Highly recommend this cottage and would definitely return again!
