This is a nice little place ideally situated for walking with walks starting from the door. The house is cosy and well equiped. Unfortunately the shower pump was broken for the duration of our stay which meant the shower flow was barely adequate. Other than that it's a great place to be based in for exploring the local area.

Lovely place and excellent location - the only downside was the chair and sofa was very tired and could do with replacing

Although warned about it and believing that there is little they could do about it, the poor wifi is a problem and we thought this should have brought the price down. Otherwise the property was comfortable, the location was fantastic with access to the Forrest literally just over the road. We would have liked a larger rear garden as we have 2dogs but it wasn't really a problem, the property to the rear though, let the cottage and indeed the rest of the area down with unkept garden and comparatively loud noise.

The cottage was comfortable and in a beautiful area. However, we found it to be dark and rather claustrophobic, and there was a distinct lack of clothes storage, it could have done with a chest of drawers in the bedroom. We enjoyed our stay, and loved the area, but would not return to this cottage.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the owner was helpful but not intrusive, the cottage was comfortable, well equipped and clean as well as reasonably priced. It was a bonus to have a safe garden area for the dog. The forest is just over the road and is fabulous to walk in, our dog loved the forest. There is plenty to do in the area although sadly not everywhere was dog friendly. We were lucky to have superb weather which was a bonus

Lovely cottage. Handy for walks in the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley. We hope to be back soon.

A lovely well equipped cottage with everything you could need. The owners who live next door were very friendly and very helpful when our dog became ill. Perfect for dog owners as plenty of forest walks just over the road. Lots of beautiful and interesting places a short distance away. The local Chinese takeaway was very good with huge helpings!

Really nice, old-world feel, cosy, yet with plenty of room. Very friendly owners, even made sure we had our preferred milk ready for a cuppa when we arrived. Lovely area with super way marked walks and spectacular views of the river Wye.
