Excellent location for walks with a main footpath into the forest branching out in different directions, only 20m away! There is a fairly main road next to the house with a manhole which makes a noise whenever a car drives over it, which we only seemed to hear during rush hour. Owner was very pleasant. A very nice cottage and we only stayed here as the price was cheaper than others of similar size and location.

Excellent location for countryside lovers and dog walkers with great access to the Wye valley. Comfortable and clean cottage annexe with the owner next door, but very private and quiet.

More than met our expectations. Easy to find and ideal for Wye Valley / Symonds Yat. Reassuring to have owner as neighbour. Couldn't be faulted.

The cottage had everything we needed. The bed was really comfortable. Good powerful shower. Well equipped kitchen and cozy lounge. Lovely courtyard, with a small table and chairs which was a sun trap, if the sun appeared of course.

A lovely cottage in a lovely area. Just a shame about the weather. ps If you get Fish and Chips from the shop in Coleford, make sure you only ask for a SMALL portion of chips. Even this is enough for 3 people!

A lovely cosy cottage in an ideal location, very well equipped & plenty of space for couple plus dog. Good walks from the door and plenty of trails within a few minutes drive. Cottage owner on hand if needed but very unobtrusive. Road fairly fast & busy at times but we did not find this a problem, very quiet in the evening.

lovely cosy place had an excellent time. very close to walking trails. monmouth 15min drive lovely little town we also visited town of Gloucester, chepstow very cheap parking in town centres if you fancy a day out in the city. the only thing i would suggest to improve stay is bigger bath towels, thermostatic shower.

Having always used self catering cottages for my holidays for the last 30-40 years this was certainly one of the best if not the best and most welcoming for myself and pets.
