A really great house for our family of five. We have twins that are 17 months and a toddler who is 4 years old. It’s such a grand place but we were made to feel at home by Sarah.

A thoroughly lovely place to stay, excellent for Shanklin old town with shops, restaurants and pubs and you can easily walk to the coastal paths from here, would definitely stay again

We would have found it useful to know that the buses go from the railway station passed the house every half hour at least! The house was convenient for public transport, which was valuable be we didn't have a car. The house was surprisingly spacious and grand but the kitchen equipment could do with a sort-out, a coffee perculator is needed, as well as a hairdryer.

In general a great place to stay 5 of us stayed and had a fantastic time. Its a great location and genuinely has the potential to be something quite special. There are however a couple of things that do need to be addressed. The oven needs cleaning so badly its a disgrace I can't understand why this has been let slip when the rest of the place is fairly clean and tidy. A shower curtain in the main bathroom its just such a mess if you happen to need the bathroom after someone has showered literally need wellies. And the damp and cold in the main/master bedroom and en suite its not pleasant however you dress it up. Other than that its great and would not hesitate at all to stay during the summer months.

At first sight this is an impressive holiday apartment. It's very spacious, full of character with a lovely garden. It's also in a good location and only a few minutes walk from old Shanklin. We had a great holiday despite poor weather and found the apartment very comfortable for a weeks holiday. However, the quality of the equipment within the apartment could have been better and generally the facilities were a little dated and in need of improvement.

The house was lovely, the lounge was an amazing size (the photos on the website don't do it justice). It is in a quiet location despite being on the main road to Old Shanklin. It was very clean, beds were very comfortable, and the owner was there to great us and show us around. Small niggles are it needs a shower curtain in the main bathroom (lovely shower, but it makes the floor very wet) and curtains in the front bedrooms would be good as the blinds don't block out enough of the light. Great location as it walking distance to Old Shanklin and then onto the beach, which is sandy and gently slopes, so great for kids. Good location for exploring the rest of the island. We had a fantastic week.

Pleasant stay despite a few limitations. Great location, especially when you have a dog in tow. Lovely spacious living area.

Our first time in the Isle of Wight and our choice of accommodation didn't disappoint. It's location for us as a family was perfect, opposite a lovely park and within walking distance of some beautiful pubs and restaurants as well as a short stroll to the nearest beach. Sarah met us at the house and showed us how everything worked, she had also left us a very well received bottle of wine!. The house is large and spacious (everything is all on one level), two of the bedrooms are facing the road side but we never experienced any issues with noise or travel and the road would be one of the main ones out of Shanklin. The beds were really comfy and everyone slept really, please note that the two front bedrooms only have blinds and they can sometimes be stiff and difficult to operate but not so much so that it caused an issue. The kitchen is large with a lovely old table that can seat 8, we just moved a couple of chairs from the living room to accommodate our party. There are 3 comfortable sofas in the living room, there's also a bookcase with some interesting books and some games and jigsaw puzzles to while away any rainy afternoons you may have!! The TV had the basic Sky package which was fine for us all. There was also some interesting info about the house, it used to be a school and we also spotted the house at Godshill model village, that's a great place to spend an afternoon by the way! It's not perfect as it's an old house full of character and everything that comes with an old property- would I stop there again?? In a heartbeat- it was fab!!
