Superb walking and cycling country, it is well placed for touring Teesdale and the Yorkshire Dales. Barnard Castle 13 miles, Durham City 18 miles and Newcastle 32 miles. The Lake District 1 hour away. The property is adjacent to the owners well-landscaped caravan park which has privately owned caravans only and therefore is very quiet. Shop 165 yards, pub 550 yards.

    Superb house, large enough for family gathering, 13 of us, plenty of room , two big lounges, pool table, bar, 7 great bedrooms, master is superb, grounds are lovely. Best house we have rented , everyone loved it.

    Stayed a weekend at the old school, 8 adults and 8 children ranging 8 months to 5. House is huge and had everything you could need. Hopefully will be staying again next year!

    Absolutely fantastic place to go with family and friends. The property itself is very spacious and very well equipped with everything you need for a great stay. cleanliness is second to none with the owners who are very helpful if needed. Will definitely be returning again as thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would recommend to anyone thinking of booking a break to stay here as you will not be disappointed .

    Really great stay for 4 families - plenty room for everyone. We loved the large sitting room with bar and pool table especially and always a help to have a second sitting room. Warm welcome from the owners and the house had everything we needed. Great location too.

    Loved it, a family of 14 staying over Christmas. The old school made our Christmas really special, especially loved the hamper. We will definitely be booking again.

    So comfortable, well equipped, plenty of room for 13 of us. Lovely touch with Christmas trees & decorations. £100 bond was repaid within 2 days of departure. I was very impressed 😄👍😄👏
