Great place for a large group, lots of space and large rooms. Lack of Wi-Fi is strange given all the other technology there. The best rooms are on the top floor, the basement ones are a bit damp. Comfy beds and good shower upstairs though.

All family members enjoyed the old quarry hospital for my dads 60th. Surprising how big the cottage was. Excellent facilities but not much in local town/area.x

Brilliant venue, it's huge. More than enough space for 15 humans plus dogs. Very homely. The lack of wifi and the size of dining room table are the only negatives.

We were a big group of 14 with 2 dogs. Two of us had their 50th Birthdays that weekend. We all fitted in very comfortably in the large, spacious and beautifully modernised and warm building. There was a large open plan living area and another lounge. Lots of plug points, TV, electrical modcoms everywhere (although the huge TV in the lounge did have a greenish hue). The bathrooms were good as well. It is very pet friendly and the views outside are wonderful. There is lots of parking available. Towels are provided but you do have to bring your own toileteries. The owner lives right next door and is very helpful. The only slight issue is that it would be very useful if finding the place in the dark for some signposting on the hospital road. It would be the icing on the cake as well if wifi was available, even a small charge would be fine. All in all, a wonderful base for a wonderful weekend, 5 stars!

This is a great holiday home for large families and groups, the lounge is brilliant to relax in with a nice coal fire. There are a couple of things that could do with an uplift 1. shower head needs replacing 2. one of the electrical sockets needs looking at as is buzzes 3. lights to first floor need looking at 4. unfortunately in this day and age WIFI would have been a big plus

Had a lovely stay here, lovely spacious living room and bedrooms were all nice. But a bit more thought needed on checking things like lightbulbs working, and all showers working! also a little welcome package like tea, coffee, milk to be waiting after a long journey and salt, handwash would be good too.

On the positive - the location and size of the property were amazing. On the not so positive, the cooking equipment for a party of 14 was limited with few big pots dishes etc that you would expect in a large house. The oven was unpredictable with the top oven working as a grill but not so much an oven. One of the biggest disappointments for our group was the dining table wasn't big enough for all of us. Although we knew the house was self catering some basic cleaning products (cloths being the most missed and only two tea towels), especially as the work surface were slate, would have been helpful. The beds weren't the most comfortable and the house looked and felt as though it had been recently refurbished but not to the highest standard. Overall for a week long trip for a large party it was OK, we felt that maybe more could be made of such a stunning property in a great location.

Lovely place and very spacious. Great for exploring Snowdonia. Would like to see more bowls in the kitchen for food preparation but what is there is adequate for a smaller party. Maybe suggest that it would benefit from WiFi as phone coverage not great and many attractions in the area prefer online bookings. If not that then local info on places where WiFi is available.

It provided good accommodation and a good location for a family get together. Overall the property was very good, however the lower ground floor bedrooms were cold and slightly damp.
