We loved this house. We were a party of 7 adults and 3 young children. The house is very clean, exceptionally well equipped, warm and comfortable. We arrived in early November and were welcomed with a blazing open fire. Sleeping quarters worked very well for us, as there was a downstairs double room (set back from the hustle and bustle of the sitting room and kitchen) and 2 separate upstairs 'areas' sleeping about 6 people in each. Would recommend bringing wellies at this time of year as there had been a lot of rain before we arrived and the ground was very wet. There is great opportunity to go walking from the house. Although we were there in autumn, I imagine this would be a great place to be with children during the summer, as there is plenty of outdoor space with swings and a river. We would definitely recommend this house and would love to return in the future.

We had a great stay. John and monika are lovely hosts and built this house up from the scratch. It is full of charm and personality and was just the right size for our group of 12 people. As we were colleagues, we brought three airbeds which comfortably fitted into the sleeping rooms (there are nine beds total, out of that 3 double but bedding for at least 15!). We went on a spontaneous night hike (accompanied by one of their dogs) through the forest and along the river, we jumped on the trampoline, swang on the swings and if it wasnt for such muddy weather we'd have tested the soccer pitch too... For me the best thing is the dining table: all 12 of us sat down together for the meals and it was spacious enough to put all dishes, drinks etc on the table without being super packed. Same for the living room: we could all sit in the living room at the wood-fired oven afterwards and enjoy a glass of wine! The huge open kitchen allowed to have 4-5 people cooking together without being even close to stepping on each others toes. Little minus for equipment: We needes three pots to cook pasta - one pot that fits portions for large groups would be great. Also a second large cooking pan. The little minus on cleanlisness: the house was spotless! You could just see which dishes had not been uses in a while as they needes a cleanse befire we used them. Not a big deal for us. If you want to have a relaxed time in the middle of nowhere: come here! Make sure you bring all foods and drinks withvyou as it is quite a journey to the next supermarket.

We went to Crocanoir over Halloween with dogs who hate Halloween. John and Monika were fantastic hosts. The fire was lighting and the house really comfortable and welcoming. Will definitely be back.

Our family group of 9 ( and our black labrador Meg ) enjoyed the most wonderful 3 day break @ Croc An Oir . Property - so wonderfully spacious , so much so , that we never got under each other's feet . Large bedrooms (5 ) with the most comfortable beds - and wonderful family sized lounge where we could all sit down to play games and watch telly. Super large kitchen with table that could accommodate all of us ( and more ) for family meals. Location -rural farm setting , some 3 miles outside Mullinahone on the Fethard road . Ideal location , which allowed easy access to Mullinahone and other nearby towns. More importantly , the rural setting allowed for the most slumbersome of sleeps and wonderful walks with our dog , Meg. Grounds also has wonderful activities for younger children if required - go karts / swings / football pitch. Hosts ( John & Monika and their dogs Frankie & Stinky !! ). The most wonderful , generous and helpful people. Nothing was too much trouble for them . Indeed , on telling John that my father in law , Steve, played Irish football for Mullinahone some 60 years previous ( 1955 ), he not only sourced a local book with photos of Steve with the football team from 1955, but unbelievably , brought one of Steve's former teammates to meet with Him @ Croc An Oir. Without doubt , this was the best family break that we have ever enjoyed . Wonderful country , wonderful property and wonderful hosts in John & Monika . I am loathe to provide this review - as I know that it will result in more people booking Croc An Oir , which in turn may cause us to miss out when we look to book again ( which we will surely do ) - however John & Monika deserve every future success - as such , get yourselves across to Croc An Oir and relax in the most wonderful of family properties .
