The property is set in a peaceful location with easy walks from the house The enclosed garden is a delight for dogs. The inside of the house is charming, very well furnished and the kitchen is very well equipped. There are low beams through out but plenty of warning notices!! One minus point was the lingering stale tobacco smell, particularly in one of the twin bedrooms it would be nice if smokers were told to smoke outside.

Beware of low ceilings but otherwise this place was fantastic with great garden and grounds, reliable facilities, and some good games to enjoy. We loved it :-)

For a very old property, it was extremely comfortable and everything worked well. The grounds are extensive and the pond has plenty of fish.Early risers could spot muntjac deer, rabbits and the odd pheasant. Under an hour to Minsmere and the coast. Every village seemed to have a wonderful church, most with remarkable rood screens and pew heads. Two things to note; the wifi works best in the kitchen, the single bed with the en-suite on the ground floor is basic and has a small mattress which is not very comfortable for an elderly person. Liz and Pete were most helpful. A lovely place to stay.
