Whinhill View Cottage is a very pleasant property situated next to a good pub and in easy reach of local shops. There are a couple of cafes nearby which provide breakfast from 9am and meals throughout the day. The property is well equipped with an efficient central heating and hot system. There is off street parking for at least two cars. We would recommend the property to others and we hope to use it again soon.

It's a lovely cottage, in a great location. It's not really suitable for 4 adults as the z bed will only fit in the double room. that should be made a little clearer as wouldn't have booked if I'd realised. I'd stay again but with fewer people. Very well equipped little cottage.

Lovely cottage in Hope adjacent to pub and very near local shops. Photos slightly deceptive with regards to size. Double room is very spacious but single room is tiny. Very nice bathroom. Downstairs the kitchen is small but well equipped and the living area is comfortable and spacious. Very well situated for local walking and within a short drive were many other tourist attractions.

First class accommodation. Ideal base for what turned out to be a lovely holiday and wonderfull walks. If walking in the Peak District would definatly return.

Very clean and comfortable. Also very convenient for neighbouring villages if you wanted a change from driving as it was on 2 bus routes, and there was a railway station within walking distance. Good walking country and interesting caverns etc. As the weather was very changeable, a washer/dryer would have been more use to us than a dishwasher - and a cheap DVD player would have been welcome( as would a hairdryer). However, these are just "desirable extras" and didn't affect the overall enjoyment of our stay. The pub next door was extremely handy, and didn't create undue noise - and the Spar supermarket was also useful.

Excellent budget stay in a great location for walkers. Good sitting room, small but well-appointed kitchen, nice bathroom. Good double bed and small single room, but the extra Z-bed was pretty terrible and could only be put up in the double bedroom. So not ideal for a 2+2 family really. Good heating, good TV, parking outside, good shop round the corner, pub next door but not at all intrusive.

An excellent base for exploring the Dark Peak. Great walks to Win Hill, Lose Hill and Mam Tor on your doorstep. The cottage had everything we needed including a dishwasher. The local Spar is well stocked for all the essentials and open everyday for long hours. Had excellent meals in Hope and Castleton and local beers were good too!

Enjoyed our stay here. Excellent location. The sloping ceiling in the bathroom were challenging for taller people, especially using the shower! A DVD player and the provision of wifi would enhance a stay here. We enjoyed our visit.
