Was really good location for walks and to visit the area that we know very well. Could have done with a little gate to keep the dog in the garden but apart from that it was fine. Plenty of room and facilities for us. Everything worked. Close to the local pub if you like to visit for a quick drink after a day walking. Would stop again. House is up for sale if you wanted to make it a permanent base!

Unfortunately the cottage is a bit tired. The armchairs have no padding and you are sitting on the wooden frame , DVD did not work (we drove to Sheffield to buy a new one so we had something to watch) and only 1 wine glass. Some of the pans are warped or handles are loose. There is a garden, but not enclosed so could not let the dog out which was a real pain. It is in a good area with some great walks less than 10 mins drive or from the cottage, and a nice little village with a Spar, butchers and a nice bakers, just needs a refurb

A lovely cottage in a great location for exploring the Derbyshire Dales. Although the pub is right next door there was very little noise. Some darker curtains would be useful as the sun is very bright in the morning. No wifi but we got a excellent 4G signal from O2 (better than we get at home and we live next to Gatwick Airport). The local Spar is open 07:30 to 22:00 and was well stocked. There is a lovely deli next door to the Spar which is worth trying.

Very good location in small village of Hope. Very clean and tidy, just what we wanted. Would certainly go back.
