What a lovely place. On arrival we were welcomed by the owner (what a lovely lady),who showed us round The Granary. It is just like a home from home (but tidier). On the ground floor you have kitchen, downstairs wet room & toilet, dining room leading into the sitting room. The stairs are off the dining room, these lead to the bedrooms of which there are 4 - 2 x 2 single beds, 1 with bunk beds & the double bed room with ensuite. On this floor is also the family bathroom. The landing is big enough to take a dogs cage, which is where we kept ours,as on the first night we kept the dog & cage downstairs ( not a good idea as he was crying most of the night). The Granary is very well equipped ,washing machine (good to go home with clean washing) dishwasher. The only thing that was missing was the Internet but that really wasn't a hardship as it was good not to have phones bleeping so we could all relax. The downstairs wet room we used as a drying room as the airing cupboard was in there. The hot water was extremely hot so be careful if you have children. All towels & bedding were supplied as well. Plenty of space outside for sitting & relaxing, also plenty of space for children to run around. There are plenty of country walks to be had, our dog loved this part & would soon let us know that he'd had enough by just flopping down & laying on his side. The garden gate could be a better as there was a gap to which our dog escaped, then stood grinning & wagging his tail as if he was saying " look how clever I am " but he didn't come back the way he went out silly dog !!! In the yard there are a couple of workshops so we just borrowed some pallets to block the gate & job well done he didn't escape anymore. Nowton Park is just 2 miles away with Bury St Edmunds 3 miles & the pub (Rushmore Arms) 1/2 mile by car but 1 mile over the fields. The small road leading to the property could be better but over all a really lovely place

Nice cottage let down by silly issues. The first being showers with hardly any water pressure to enable you to wash without taking forever. Downstairs bathroom door unable to close because of electrical cord switch installed incorrectly. No hot water in en suite basin for shave. We were told about some of these issues but did note in comments book about previous clients commenting on water pressure. Also why not supply information about local amenities which can really help make your stay that much better. The lady who met us was very pleasant.
