The cottage was really nice it was in a good location in a small village. It is quite new yet still has character. I would have no hesitation in staying there again has the owners were very welcoming and it is a good location for visits to the coast, Monkey World and Cider Breweries.

We (3 adults & 1 dog) stayed for a long weekend, and would have loved to have stayed longer. The location ideal. Only a short drive to some fabulous locations. There are nice footpath walks locally and a very friendly pub a few minutes walk away, that even does takeaways. The cottage was impeccable, with high standards of comfort and facilities, everything was on point. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay.

A new property in a quiet location ideal for a relaxing stay. Well equipped and still 'sparkly' new, the accommodation is both comfortable and functional although we only used two of the three bedrooms. The location is ideal for walkers with many well marked routes around the local villages. Plenty of other things to do on rainy days that are not to far away. A very well run and friendly pub nearby offers limited menu but good quality and value food and drink.

A lovely new conversion. Main double bedroom is light, airy and spacious. Owners very friendly and helpful. Field nearby to run dogs.

Cottage was clean, comfortable and spacious with a small garden which the dogs could also use. There are plenty of places to visit with lovely walks for the dogs including dog friendly beaches. Drimpton is very close to both Somerset and Devon. There are plenty of dog friendly places to eat including the local pub. Although there are no amenities in the village, the nearest supermarket is only a short drive away. We had a lovely week and would certainly recommend The Old Engine House.

We were the first ever to stay at The Engine House. We had an absolutely amazing time. The property is finished to a high standard and the owners have thought of everything to make your stay excellent. The bedrooms are comfortable, the bathrooms and toilet spacious and bright, the sitting room cosy and the kitchen extensively stocked with cutlery, crockery and everything you can think of!! The owners are very friendly and even left some chicken food for the children to feed the chickens, which they loved! Two very friendly labradors reside here and they love a good fuss! The location is excellent as it allows exploration of Dorset, Devon and Somerset. We were a party of 3 adults and 2 children and enjoyed every second of staying at The Engine House. Thank you for a lovely stay!!
