We have stayed at this cottage four times, so that says it all.

The owners of this cottage, a converted outbuilding of an old farm, earn its 5-star rating, one of a few holiday lets we've stayed in that deserve the adjective"immaculate" when describing the presentation. When we booked we fully understood that this wasn't a cottage with picture-window views, or a garden, but the spec of a double bedroom with en-suite shower, and a single bedroom allowing separate access to the bathroom, fitted our needs exactly. We had an adult relative stay with us for a week of the two we took, and the cottage was spacious and comfortable enough to easily accommodate 3 adults. Location was good as a centre for touring West Sussex, but proximity to the fast moving A272 was less than ideal for walking to nearby villages, and for the constant hum of traffic noise in the day time.

A very comfortable stay, very clean, attractively furnished, and very well-equipped particularly in the kitchen (which tends to be my domain). If I'd wanted to do baking or do involved cooking, the equipment and utensils were there. There are plenty of cupboards, none were cluttered, one or two were totally empty, thus thoughtfully leaving ample space for my food purchases.

We had a delightful week staying at the Old Dairy. There was so much to see and do in the countryside around us; walks on the South Downs at Chanctonbury Ring, and Harting Down, the music concert in the church at Midhurst, magnificent Petworth Park, and much more. We were never at a loss, and always the cosy, quiet cottage to return to in the evening. Our beds were luxurious, the kitchen had everything we needed and the whole place was spotless. Highly recommended.

Most beautiful little cottage in a fabulous setting. Everything we could have wanted and several things we hadn't realised we needed, lol! Owners live on site and were friendly and welcoming and then left us to our own devices - perfect! Would happily come back again and again.
