Very enjoyable time here. So quiet and relaxing. We were bang in the middle of the peaks and could walk through them straight out of the front door. Comfortable and quaint cottage to relax in with the dog.

perfect...except for (a) the sitting room needs a reading lamp: present lighting is not enough to read by and (b) it would be good on safety grounds to have a grab rail on the bath wall to help older people step in and out of the bath when taking a shower. We hope to rent the old dairy again...

We loved this cottage, perfect location, lots of room, maybe only one little niggle (tiny) we could have done with a small washing machine. But that did'nt stop us from enjoying a lovely week away in a beautiful area.

An amazing property, well located, very well equipped and very clean. The owners have thought of everything to make your stay a great experience from comfy quality furniture to the treats they leave for the dog. When you arrive everything is ready to use, they even leave you some snacks and food/ milk to start your holiday. Loved they place, you can step outside your front door and walk for miles through glorious scenery and stop off at several dog friendly pubs , cafe's and eateries. Meet the owners on the final day and they are lovely people who have a great understanding of what people want from a enjoyable vacation in the Peak District. A perfect venue for a couple and dog.

Loved the cottage, it's quirky character and location. Log burner was lovely in the evening when it was cold. My Labrador spent every evening on his back in front of it. Came up on a weeks get away from it all break with my dog and camera. Pretty much everything you need was provided.

Cottage was in excellent condition throughout. Peaceful location and very private with walks from the front door. Many long walks taken and you do feel away from it all when you're on top of a hill which has taken hours to walk up to! Hope and Castleton are not very far away for groceries and other essentials. People very friendly and generous with their advice. Will come back here again very soon.

An absolutely beautiful cottage! We had everything we needed and really appreciated the homely touches, including making sure our dog was also very welcome. The location is fantastic, stunning views and the ability to go on long walks or for a pint without having to get in the car? Wonderful stay, we wouldn't hesitate to recommend it and intend to visit again in the future.
