A beautiful place to stay. Very welcoming and friendly, especially enjoyed the cream tea on arrival. Convenient for Jurassic coast and also the beautiful Devon and Somerset countryside. Would definitely go again.

This was a delightful cottage. There is plenty of room and it is extremely comfortable. It is in a very quiet location and there is a lovely view to look out on when you are in the lounge. There are two bathrooms and a well equipped kitchen and the lounge is a good size. The owners are very friendly, helpful and also very thoughtful. I would definitley recommend this cottage.

Our holiday at the Old Cowstall was very disappointing. We only stayed 2 nights instead of the 7 we had booked. The property was very dirty, smelly and tired, the bathrooms were covered in hairs from the previous guests. Everything was covered in cobwebs and dust and the rooms filled with flies. We did not feel we wanted to unpack or sit-down on any of the furniture as it was so unclean. The smell from the horses nearby made it unpleasant to sit out that is if you could find a clean garden chair to use, the garden was overgrown and neglected. Do not be fooled by the pictures on the website as these were obviously taken when the property was new as it does not give a true representation of how it is now, they are very misleading and deceptive.

We loved the Old Cow Stall. Comfy, cosy, lovely view, warm welcome, quiet neighbours (horses). Close to lots of beaches and attractions. Main line station in Axminster allowed us to go further afield. We will certainly go back.

A lovely cottage set in a great location with beautiful views over Axminster. The owners were very friendly and welcoming; homemade scones with jam and clotted cream awaited us after our long journey for which we were very grateful! Our children aged 2 and 5 loved having a vast play area and giving daily treats to the resident pets!

Really characterful cottage with lovely garden. Our hosts were very welcoming. It's a nice location, although the only thing lacking is ability to walk on footpaths around and into Axminster - walking the roads a bit risky I think.
