We had a lovely stay in this cottage with the luxury of a fantastic swimming pool and hot tub. Great location for super scenic Peak District walking returning home to a warming log fire.

Beautifully kept cottage, private and quiet, all necessary equipment for preparing meals (the only sour note was the fire alarm above the food prep area which goes off even when boiling vegetables), The swimming pool and games room were a whole heap of icing on top, and we as a family had great fun in there. We love walking and exploring, and the cottage is perfectly situated for that. We enjoyed Stanage Edge, the Mam Tor ridge, Eyam, the Hope Valley Show, Peverill Castle and Cave Dale. But avoid Speedwell Cavern, the worst cavern we have ever visited, with steep prices and a shocking rip-off in the car park to boot. I would like to recommend the Cheshire Cheese pub, a warm and friendly pub with games and great home-made food that is perfect for a hungry family after a day's activities - it's a pleasant walk of less than fifteen minutes down country tracks (but take a torch!).

The pool area was excellent, but it's a shame the Jacuzzi was out of order.
