Set in a small village, this renovated former school house is a great base for touring the island and is 3 miles from the beach.

The Old School House (ref UKC1638) is a stunning property which is full of character and has been attractively decorated and furnished throughout. It has a living room with large, comfortable sofas and three stylishly furnished bedrooms, which makes this an ideal location for a family or a group of friends wanting to explore the south coast of the Isle of Wight. The Old Chapel House (ref UKC1637) is a converted 19th-century chapel that has been renovated in contemporary style whilst retaining some of its original features such as stained glass windows, exposed beams and the church door. The properties are situated in the small village of Whitwell, which is home to a 700-year-old church and the oldest pub on the island, dating back to the 15th century, and is surrounded by countryside with wonderful walking and cycling. Three miles south east of Whitwell is the Victorian seaside town of Ventnor which offers a wonderful, family-friendly, sand and shingle beach. It is framed by the Undercliff, much of which has been designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The National Trust has several places of interest nearby including Mottistone Gardens and the Bembridge Windmill, which is the only surviving windmill on the island. The adventure park Backgang Chine is about 3 miles away where you will find entertainment for all the family. Beach 3 miles. Shop 1 mile. Pub and restaurant 100 yards. These properties can be booked together to accommodate up to 14 guests via an interconnecting door.
