Comfortable cottage and ideal for the dogs but the drive was like 'off roading. ' The holes were over about a half a mile stretch of the lane leading to the yard where the cottage was and holes up to 6 inches deep full of leaves and water. Being on the flight path for Bristol air port was liveable with but they did start about 7 am and some were very noisy . The drive was the main problems and did take the shine off the holiday . No contact from the owners who appeared to live on site was also somewhat rude.

Lovely property. Nice touch with biccies and flowers and coffee. Cleaning stuff was useful... Turn off at traffic lights for timber mill, then turn right into timber mill to find. Then go past timber mill..... As directions a little misleading. Make calls to owner on the land line.

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your comments. Unfortunately I don't own the drive so I can't do anything about the potholes. They have been filled in again this week with chippings by the person who owns the drive. It has been in all the papers that spiders are a big problem at the moment. We have electronic repellers and I mercilessly vacuum up every spider I see. I pay for someone to go round every changeover and check for cobwebs/spiders. We live in the middle of thousands of acres of woods so naturally, there will be spiders that come in. The "weeds" are self-seeded local plants which I left deliberately as they are so colourful and pretty. However I do welcome feedback and I will now take these out.

The Barn offers great opportunities to enjoy the surrounding areas, from great local dog walks to short trips to the coast and the city. It comes extremely well equipped where the owners have thought of everything! The only downside was the the pool area was a little uninviting with a large ants nest by the poolside and unkept seating area meant we gave bathing a miss, which was a shame as the pool looked really inviting!

The property has lovely picture windows that perhaps need cleaning between guests. Also they have specific rules regarding pets so perhaps should provide pet gates. We purchased our own makeshift gate in order to isolate pets to single area overnight in order to comply with their rules.

Clean, modern barn warm and comfy but a pain to find - all it needs is a sign at the timber yard saying - barns this way then after you've challenged the craters in the road you arrive! The barn itself great the surrounding views not - I appreciate it was a working farm but it was like a junk yard! The planes didn't bother us at all, the bed was extremely comfortable, and it sufficed for the purpose of our weekend - visiting friends in nearby Yatton! Only 1/2hr from Weston super mere perfect for a walk along the beach with our pups

The cottage was warm and comfortable and well equipped but the access road to it was very poor with lots of potholes. Also don't think it very suitable for anyone with mobility problems - there were steps down to the cottage with no handrail and surface slippery in wet weather. that said, the location was peaceful and mainly quiet though the proximity to Bristol Airport meant there was noise from aircraft taking off. Having lived near the Airport for 21 years we didn't find that a problem.
