Excellent place to stay as a base for exploring Anglesey (a place we love). Comfortable, cosy cottage for two, everything you need for that home from home feeling. Great hosts Ann and David.

Great spot with good pubs/restaurants. The house was very clean and quirky with the living area below the kitchen and dining room. The bed was very comfortable and the shower great.

This well appointed ground floor flat is very well equipped and spacious. The location is close to the facilities of Trearddur bay whilst it is positioned on a relatively quiet side road with a number of small bays nearby.

The Old Abbey is a lovely place-well equipped, clean and well situated-ideal for our week long fishing break...or so we thought! We were confronted on the Thursday of our stay by the lady owner, telling us that we were coming back too late at nights and making too much noise! She then went on to say that we had to be in by 11pm at the latest! We were dumbfounded to say the least....and to be treated like naughty schoolchildren, when we are both in our 60's and probably older than her!!! Her totally unreasonable behaviour, unwillingness to let us have our say, and blatant lying, didn't help the situation either. Needless to say, we could not stay after that, and we packed up and left. This property would benefit from sound proofing as the noise nuisance works both ways-they could hear everything from our side, and likewise, we could hear everything from theirs. Not for anyone who likes to stay up late, use their car at nights [the headlights were waking people up and making the dogs bark!], and enjoy their holiday!

Response on behalf of the owner; We are really saddened by your comments, and disappointed you felt your holiday was restrictive. Here at "The Old Abbey Cottages" we go out of our way for all our guests making every effort to ensure they enjoy their holiday too in our beautiful Bay. We ask only to have a little respect for the surroundings and consideration to the neighbours and other guests staying in the grounds of The Old Abbey when returning in the early hours of morning.
