Lovely cottage, very clean, well equipped in a quiet location. We booked this cottage to spend some days at the sea and to make day trips to London.

A very comfortable house. Everything availble. A very good place to visit the coast (Hastings) and the exellent gardens in Sussex and Kent. A railway station in the village makes it very comfortable to make a day trip to London. There is one problem, that is to find the house. That discription in the documentation is not sufficient. But use the final approach information by telephone from the owner and you find the destination.

Great place and awesome location - very quiet and tranquil. Very clean and very comfortable. A couple of points that could be improved: The kitchen was not so well stocked (no pan with a lid). Also, we were given only 2 dishwasher tablets for 3 nights, and a few drops of dishwashing liquid. We were told that we were supposed to provide our own which seemed a bit odd to me (in all other self catering places I've been to this was definitely not the case as ample supplies were provided).

Lovely place in a lovely location, had a fab week. Went with wife and two sons aged 11 and 13. Really good place to get out and see Kent and East Sussex. The only thing I would say is that you needed a car to go everywhere as it is out in the sticks, also the roof in the main bedroom was low on one side of the bed. In fairness we were warned about it before we went, so I managed to get through the week without banging my head.

This cottage is set in woods about 1 mile walk from the village of Etchingham (you can walk across the fields - too muddy when we were there in February, or along the quiet minor roads) where there is a post office and very well stocked village shop. There is also an award-winning bistro in the former station master's cottage. The cottage is well equipped and very warm; wifi and mobile phone coverage; a selection of dvds (but no books). Probably less suitable for children as the garden opens out directly without a gate onto the minor road. Also don't go there if you don't like darkness at night and it's very quiet (except for the hooting owl)!

Stayed over Christmas. The Xmas decor was very welcoming. Very clean. Beds very comfortable. A Nice and warm cottage. Lovely location too. Would have preferred if a little more crockery was available.

Superb little place with a proper size TV good wifi and a huge comfy sofa. Amazingly quiet at night with only an occasional owl to remind you of the rural location. Everything modern and new inside. Pretty much faultless.
