We really enjoy staying at The Nest as we know it well having stayed there now 3 times. We notice that next year the prices are up considerably and don't feel it is such good value for money

Excellent cosy and clean property. I would definitely recommend to others as it has all the essentials amd more. Furthermore not only is it a short drive to the centre of the lake district but also shops are local and close.

Enjoyed the stay- clean, comfortable and just what I expected- not sure that the car parking space can be called that!!- can I suggest a new set of pans?- takes nothing away from the enjoyable stay but honest feedback.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your comments and we are glad that you had an enjoyable stay. I believe that you have a fairly large car and so found that the parking space was not adequate (which you were hopefully advised of beforehand). The parking space should be sufficient for most medium sized cars but we appreciate that some guests find the space a little bit tight to manoeuvre into. For this reason we only advertise one available space and leave a visitors parking permit for those that prefer to park on the road. Glad it didn't effect the enjoyment of your stay.

We had a great time at the nest, lovely house, great for visiting the area, would definitely stay again. House was very comfortable and the rooms are spacious, sunny in the front in the morning and the back in the afternoon, 10 minutes awalk from the shops in kendal, 15 minutes drive to the coast and about the same to windermere. Great holiday!
