Fabulous cottage, in a very quiet location a short walk or drive from Kendal town centre. The only downside was the 'parking space' for one car. I have a reasonably large car and the only access to the space is to reverse at an angle from the road. A very tricky manoeuvre indeed. In the end I gave up and used the provided on road parking permit. Such parking is limited and not always near the cottage. That apart, a really good value for money place to stay. If you need Internet access signal is sometimes 'variable'.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at "The Nest". It was a perfect location for us and was very cosy with every facility, even some heating because we had some very chilly days. We would certainly go again and recommend to friends and family. It is very convenient also for public transport and you can get into own easily and Windermere and Ambleside also.

Lovely cottage. Clean and well equipped. Plenty of space. Good location, although we took a seven and four-year-old who found the walking into town a little tiresome - may look for something a little nearer the town centre next time. Would not hesitate to stay again though. Cottage would benefit from wi-fi. Always good to have a break from technology on holiday, but wi-fi would help researching places to visit, train timetables, lake ferry timetables and the like.
