Welcome Cottages

Lakeside, seaside, countryside, hillside…wherever you can picture your perfect cottage, you’ll find it with Welcome Cottages!

Idyllic, romantic hideaway for couples, loads of character, with beams and original watermill pulling system in living room.

Full of character

This charming conversion, located beside a wooded hill and stream occupies the loft part of an 18th-century watermill with private level access. Full of character, this property has the original wood pulling system within the living room, making this the perfect romantic hideaway. Located in the beautiful Conwy Valley, there are lovely walks and views, very good restaurants, cafés and pubs all close by. World famous Bodnant Garden, a floral delight all year round, is only 5.5 miles away and the pretty village of Betws-y-Coed, the gateway to Snowdonia is 7 miles. Historic Conwy, with its famous castle and town walls built buily by Edward I (World Heritage Site), and home to the beautifully preserved houses of Aberconwy House (NT), Plas Mawr (Cadw) and the UK’s smallest house is well worth a visit. You can stroll along the quayside and buy fresh fish too! The Victorian seaside resort of Llandudno with its famous Great Orme’s Head offers the historic Great Orme tramway, 4,000 year old copper mines, and the UK’s longest cable car ride, together with excellent shops, golf courses, theatre, beaches and dry ski slope. Several of the Great Little Trains of Wales are within easy reach, including the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways, and the Snowdon Mountain Railway. Blaenau Ffestiniog is fast becoming the adventure capital of North Wales, where you can soar over an old slate quarry on the largest zipwire zone in the world at Zipworld, bounce away inside a slate cavern, the size of St Paul’s Cathedral, to your hearts content at Bounce Below or experience the Stiniog Downhill Mountain Bike Trails. If that all seems too much, then why not relax with a coffee and watch the surfing action at Surf Snowdonia, the UK’s first artificial surfing lake. Fishing, horse riding and water sports can all be found within 5 miles. Shop 3 miles, pub and restaurant 0.5 miles.

All on second floor: Living room with low beam/dining room. Kitchen. 1 double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with shower over bath and toilet.

Electric central heating and electricity by meter reading. Bed linen and towels included. DVD. Stereo/CD. Microwave. Use of shared washing machine. Freezer. Wi-fi. Enclosed patio and furniture. Barbecue. Parking (2 cars).
