We felt that the cottage was a bit too small for us and our large dog. The cottage itself was fine , the area great and the caretakers very welcoming.

As others have stated this is an ideal location for those wanting to get away from it all as there is no mobile or wifi coverage although a 5 minute trip to the top of the moor will give you a good signal. It is perfect for a couple who enjoy walking in some of the most beautiful countryside in the UK and of course it is only 12 miles from Minehead and the coast. As it is a working farm obviously you can expect a bit of noise from tractors and quad bikes but this didn't bother us at all. We had a most enjoyable week.

The property was advertised as a working farm which we were more than happy with but it was actually a shoot with numerous pheasants running around the farmyard. This was very restricting for our cocker spaniel - she is totally used to horses and cows which we expected but pheasants were a different matter ! It would have helped to know this beforehand as we would not have booked such a cottage.
